PARK CLOSES TO VEHICLES AND CAMPING OCTOBER 6TH , 2019 - SUNSETSUMMER: $10 fee per vehicle is due for entering the parkThe day use parking areas at the beaches and at the Rubicon trailhead are extremely popular during the summer months and are often FULL by mid morning. Fees for on-season camping are $35 per night. The 178 sites can accommodate tents and RVs of almost all sizes. You can't see Emerald Bay from the campground, but there are views through the large trees to the surrounding mountains. In 1884, a resort called Bellevue Hotel was constructed just north of what is now the South Boathouse, and remained a popular summer destination for Lake Tahoe visitors for nine years.
