It\u2019s really important to attend orientation to get all the info you need and get ready for college life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Check #5: Key Dates &amp; Forms &#8211; Don\u2019t Miss Any Deadlines Now!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You thought deadlines were over after applications? Nope! There are still key dates and forms to track AFTER you get accepted. Stay on top of these key deadlines now:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Enrollment Deposit Deadline:<\/strong> To secure your place at the college of your choice, you\u2019ll need to submit an enrollment deposit\u2014usually a few hundred dollars\u2014by the deadline (often May 1st, but be sure to check!). Get those housing forms in fast!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Financial Aid Acceptance Deadlines: <\/strong>Financial aid offers sometimes have deadlines to \u201caccept\u201d your aid package too. Check your financial aid letters for any aid acceptance deadlines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Official Transcript Request: <\/strong>Colleges need your FINAL high school transcript sent AFTER you graduate. Your counselor will usually send it, but check with your counselor\u2019s office to make sure they know where to send your final transcript after graduation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>AP Scores and College Credit: <\/strong>If you took AP exams and want to get college credit, you need to send your official AP scores to your college. The College Board website is where you send AP scores \u2013 do it before the classes start!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Immunization Records: <\/strong>Colleges need proof of your immunization(shot) records before you start classes.
