{"id":224,"date":"2020-06-07T19:56:06","date_gmt":"2020-06-07T19:56:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ec2-50-17-66-55.compute-1.amazonaws.com\/2020\/06\/07\/dellapaloy\/"},"modified":"2026-03-01T22:25:01","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T06:25:01","slug":"della-paloy-student-success-story","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cirkledin.com\/library\/student-success-stories\/della-paloy-student-success-story\/","title":{"rendered":"Della Paloy &#8211; April 2020 &#8220;No Sweat&#8221; Scholarship Winner"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Self-driven aptly describes Cirkled In\u2019s April 2020 \u201cNo Sweat\u201d Scholarship winner Della Paloy.&nbsp; Her drive propelled her all the way to Kobe Japan where, as the winner of the Washington State Japanese Competition, she spent 10 days touring historical sites and immersing in the culture while living with a local family.&nbsp; She was determined to go to Japan, and she did!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This self-drive is a theme that runs through all that Della has achieved.&nbsp; Soon she will graduate from Roosevelt Highschool where she challenged herself by taking a variety of AP and Honor\u2019s courses and has earned an impressive 4.33 weighted GPA and is a member of the National Honors Society.&nbsp; In addition to her academic schoolwork she has pursued extracurricular activities including Japanese Culture Club (serving as President), marching band, pep band and wind ensemble. &nbsp;In addition, she has over 200 volunteer hours under her belt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For fun Della enjoys the outdoors.&nbsp; She especially loves vising National Parks. One of her favorite National Parks is Mount Rushmore, because of the history that can be found there. The other is Olympic National Park located in her home state of Washington as its beauty is beyond description.&nbsp; &nbsp;Additionally, every year she and her family visit Utah where they enjoy hiking and bird watching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Della first discovered <strong>Cirkled In<\/strong> at the Northwest Women\u2019s Show a few years ago, where the company hosted a booth. She found the platform easy to use and helpful for organizing her activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is thrilled to have won the $2,500 \u201cNo Sweat\u201d Scholarship and plans to use the award to cover her college expenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This fall, she will follow in her grandfather\u2019s footsteps and attend <strong>Washington State University<\/strong>. She plans to study Agricultural Economics and Japanese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She hopes to build a career focused on trade between Washington state and Japan. Her interest began after discussing U.S.\u2013Japan trade with her uncle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Watch Della\u2019s video to learn more about her journey.
