Creating your Professional Story on Cirkled In – One Step at a time (Part 1 of 10 Video Series)

By Sarah H on March 8, 2023 Updated: October 9, 2026

Are you excited to showcase your accomplishments and talents to the world?

We are thrilled to launch this series of 10 videos and articles to help and guide you, one step at a time in creating a polished professional profile. We are excited to partner with you to create a compelling story representing who you are as an accomplished student.

This is the first episode in a series of 10 episodes. Each week, we will walk you through a section of your profile, and in 10 weeks, you will have a fully polished story to showcase yourself!

You can watch this 3-minute video here or follow the steps listed below.

Creating your Professional Story on Cirkled In

So let’s get started. If you do not have an account already, you can create one for free at www.cirkledin.com.

Carousel of Images: Say More with Less

At the top of your profile, you’ll see an image carousel. A picture is worth a thousand words. It’s the easiest way to say more with less.

Upload images that highlight your talents. Show yourself playing a sport, performing music, or volunteering in your community. Strong visuals create a lasting impression on anyone who visits your profile.

You can also watch our FAQ video to learn how to upload files.

Steps: Click the β€œ+” button. Select a file from your computer or OneDrive. Upload it to your profile. You can add up to 30 images to showcase yourself in action.

Say More with Less – with pictures!

Profile Picture: Putting a Face to Your Name

Your profile picture is the first thing people see when they visit your profile, and it represents who you are. We recommend choosing a picture that shows your upper body or a full-size image for now.

Steps: Click on the pencil button on the profile picture on the top left side and upload a picture of your own.

Put a Face to the Name!

Who am I: Telling the World About You

In the “Who am I” section, we encourage you to tell the world about yourself. Share your grade level, school, and any academic achievements or extracurricular activities you’re involved in. You can also mention any passions or interests that make you unique and authentic, like playing video games or participating in chess tournaments.

Hobbies: Sharing Your Interests and Passions

The “Hobbies” section is your opportunity to share your interests and passions. Whether it’s watching TV, playing video games, or playing volleyball with friends, we believe that everyone has at least a couple of things they love doing. This is a free text section, which means you get to tell the world who you are in your own words.

Something I’m Proud Of: Sharing Your Achievements

Finally, the “Something I’m Proud Of” section is an opportunity for you to share a recent accomplishment or achievement that you’re proud of. We encourage you to share even the smallest of accomplishments, like helping someone at a store or winning a math competition. By sharing your achievements, you inspire others to reach their own goals.

Steps: Click on the pencil and add information on who you are.

Tell the world Who You Are!

Draw inspiration and ideas from your peers. See some example profiles that we have curated for you.

Discover the potential of students from different grade levels by exploring their profiles! Whether you’re in middle school, high school, or college, you can click on each profile to gain valuable insights and inspiration. Learn from the experiences of your peers and discover what makes their profiles stand out. Take advantage of this opportunity to broaden your horizons and explore the possibilities for your own profile.

Steps: To access student profiles, click on the ‘Example Profile’ button in the top right corner, and then select the type of student you’re searching for.

Draw Inspiration from your Peers!

Conclusion:

In conclusion, building your Cirkled In profile is an exciting opportunity to showcase your accomplishments and talents to the world. We hope that our guide has provided you with the necessary tools to create a compelling profile that represents who you are. Remember to upload images that showcase your talents, share your passions and interests, and highlight your recent achievements.

Now, it’s your turn to take action and create your Cirkled In profile. Start by selecting the best images representing you and sharing your unique story in the “Who am I” and “Hobbies” sections. Don’t forget to share your proudest achievements in the “Something I’m Proud Of” section.

We’re excited to see your Cirkled In profile, so be sure to share it with us. And if you have any questions or need further guidance, feel free to reach out to us. Let’s work together to tell the world who you are!

See you in the next Episode!
